Cell Phone Craze/A new Job

Yes, it is official. We bought a cell-phone. After years of fighting it, hating it, and pushing it away, it is time for our family to embrace the cell-phone craze. This decision reminds me of one of my favorite quotes:

“Vice is a monster of so frightful mien, As to be hated needs but to be seen; Yet seen too oft, familiar with her face, we first endure, then pity, then embrace” --Alexander Pope

I suppose we should explain why the sudden change of heart. As most of you already know, Cody has accepted a new job. Starting April 21, he will be working for Prudential Financial, as a consultant. In layman's terms, he'll be a salesman selling life/health insurance and retirement and investment plans. We are very excited about it. This job is based right here where we live, which means no moving for us--at least not for a while. Hooray for not moving in the middle of a pregnancy! His new job will require a lot of calling, though, and Prudential requires their employees to have a cell-phone. It is tax deductible and we will get a discount through work, so that will be beneficial. We went with Verizon, so if you're another Verizon customer, feel free to give us a jingle.
