Update, June 10, 9:00 pm

Ok, not much has changed with Parker since this morning, other than his parents are better rested now. :) Jordan, Parker's dad, said he looked pink instead of blue, a "Beautiful sight." He will remain sedated for 4 or 5 days, and they won't close his chest for a while either. All the doctors are very pleased with his performance and think everything will be just great. He is on the ventilator still and blood transfusions, but this is all to be expected considering the magnitude of the procedure. They're monitoring his blood pressure and temperature very carefully. This morning his temperature went up to 103, so they cooled him down--a little too quickly. The change caused some bleeding, but that was quickly stopped. He's been on blood thinners while waiting for the transplant, and that will cause him to bleed a little more than normal.

What amazing technology!
