Helping brother

Lee is enjoying having Annalisa home. He loves to help out--I knew that he would, and that giving him important (but 2-year-old-doable) jobs would be the key to his accepting the baby. Today he's helped hold and feed her, he's done the dishes, and as you can tell, cleaned up. I hope I can keep up all the praise and affection he needs without burning out. I'm a firm believer in the "Power of Positive Parenting" theory: pour praise and attention on a child who is behaving well, so that when a misbehavior happens, negative attention will not be a reward. It's worked well with Lee so far, and I want to continue that with him and with Anna.

Snack time!
