Happy Leap Year!
Today is February 29. Being born in February, I must say this day is one of my favorites because it extends the best month of all. Also, it was a Friday, which made the seemingly impossible become reality: 3 paydays in February! So, I say to you all--Happy Leap Year/Day, and may you have a good weekend. Love, Lisa

Our Dehydrator
Mom and Dad S. gave us a SO COOL dehydrator for Christmas. We haven't used it too much since then, but we will over the summer when the fresh produce is pouring out of our garden (if it survives this year). But on Monday we did get some fruit roll-ups drying, and they turned out tasty. We experimented a little bit and like our peach-raspberry ones a lot.

Torturing the Mush Baby
Lee's a mush baby! You will laugh if you know what that means. If not, this is just a cute picture of Lee covered in his breakfast. However, it led to a bath, which led to a much needed haircut...
...which Lee decided was against his constitutional rights (cruel and unusual punishment, you know.) But it sure ended cute! Needless to say, it is 10:00 am and we have already had a big day. I think I'll go take a nap.

Just like Mommy
Lee with his cousin Shayden. This is Lee's computer-- the old one we replaced.
Yep, Lee is definitely his mother's son. He loves daddy, but he sure hams everything up just like Lisa does, and he LOVES being the center of attention. It is fun to see his personality develop everday: a mix of Lisa, Cody, and lots of just Lee things. Dad has taught Lee how to sneak up. He crouches down and walks very slowly, saying "shh!" to himself, then he pops up and gives a little baby growl. Lisa has taught Lee how to wrinkle his nose when he smiles and how to flirt with girls by blowing kisses. And Lee has come up with saying "omilyomilyomily" and eating imaginary snacks off of plates or the ebleskiver pan. Oh, yes, and he says "bye" whenever he leaves the room or when it's time for bed or he goes anywhere. Hilarious kid.

Pregnancy Update
Cody posted while we were sitting in the Doctor's office today. He wanted to check if his Palm Pilot had the capacity to actually post on our blog.
The doctor appointment went well. We had an ultrasound. Only one baby, but they did change my due date to 1 week later. So, my new due date is September 3, 2008. I said it's better to just know that it will be a week later rather than to find out while waiting in August (in case you didn't know, Lee was a week late). But otherwise, all looks good! They're now doing some lab work and our next appointment is in a month.
I hope you can see the Ultrasound pictures okay. Uncle Matthew--there's only one in there! Sorry, I know you were hoping for quadruplets. :) A quick follow-up on the lab work: they called this evening to let me know I had an infection (yes, a bladder infection, sorry it's gross), so I had to run to the store to get a prescription. I hope that explains the worse-than-usual feeling I've had the past 2 days. Some good meds, a good talk with family, and a good distraction help a lot. Let's just say in closing that we're very grateful for the huge advances in medicine. THERE! My ramblings are done for today.

Another Funny Lee moment
Lisa's sister-in-law Kristin (see the Matthew and Kristin link) had her baby yesterday. We were very excited to find out she was in labor, and Lisa talked to Lee about it. She said, "Lee, your cousin Axton is being born right now! Do you remember what it was like to be born?" Lee promptly replied, "Ouch!" Even funnier, he repeated it this morning and Matthew caught it on camera. We are very happy to have another nephew. Congratulations to Matthew and Kristin, also known as Daddy and Mommy.

Basketball!
Cody likes to go play basketball on Saturday mornings with some of the ward members. Our ward is doing well this season (I think we're undefeated...?), partly because if the other ward doesn't show up they typically forfeit. But it's fun anyway, and good exercise. Today Lee and I went to watch the game and took some fun pictures.
